New Riccia Stone has been released in NA Goods and Do!aqua.

The NEW Nature Aquarium Goods Riccia stone has more variety in sizes (S, M, L size mixed, 2 to 7cm), so you can easily place Riccia even at the edge of rocks and intricate places by using smaller size stones.

"NEW" cosmetic sand, La Plata sand will be available!

New cosmetic sand, La Plata sand will be available from middle of December.

The white bright-color grain with less than 3mm size stands out in a lighted aquarium. It is natural sand with natural color, suitable for cosmetic sand.
It can also be used with Wabi-kusa and other purposes. There are 2kg and 8kg bags available.

Takashi Amano's lecture in Germany on January 28, 2012!

On January 28 2012, Takashi Amano, the master of the Nature Aquarium, comes to the International Aquascaping - Competition "The Art of the plan-Ted Aquarium" to Hanover. Amano will set up a Nature Aquarium right in front of you and make a presentation about his expeditions to the remote outback and nature which is the source of his inspiration for layouts. Also some events, such as layout competition and ceremony will take place in the event.

MALAYSIA AQUAFAIR / TAKASHI AMANO WORKSHOP DVD

In November, 2010, Takashi Amano was invited by AQUAFAIR exhibition to conduct a Nature Aquarium lecture at Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre in Malaysia. This event was organized as one of the special event of this Malaysia's largest aquarium exhibition, and more than 200 people gathered from Malaysia, Thailand, Singapore, Indonesia and India. The video image of this 3 hour event is now on sale in DVD. The DVD of Takashi Amano lecture is consisted with 2 disks with subtitle in English and Chinese. The event was filmed by 3 camera crews, and it is possible to see Mr. Amano's layout demonstration captured from a close distance.

This year's International Aquatic Plants Layout Contest has received 1,603 submissions from 55 countries and areas. And now, all those beautiful and magnificent works are available in the contest booklet. The beautiful Poster image of the IAPLC 2011 has become the cover of the book. As it showcases every entry work of the IAPLC2011, it is a great collection of various Nature Aquarium styles with detailed comment on each top prize winning layout by IAPLC juries. It provides a lot of inspirations and know-how to readers from beginners to experts.

Original ADA Oil Film Remover, VUPPA - I

Effectively remove contamination on the water surface such as oil film.

Having oil film on the water surface spoils the allurement of an aquascape. VUPPA - I developed with ADA's original structure effectively eliminate contamination on water surface such as oil film. Handmade stainless steel body does not interrupt the appearance of the aquarium. It can be mounted on the aquarium tank glass up to 15mm thickness.

We have received total of 1603 applications from 55 countries and areas for this year's contest. After closing the application on May 31, 2011, all the applications went through impartial grading process by judges, and the contest result is now finalized. Based on the grading of the judges, we have ranked each entry.

Preliminary report on the IAPLC2011 application number!

The application of the International Aquatic Plants Layout Contest 2011 has been closed on May 31st as every year, and the IAPLC2011 steering committee has received a total of 1,603 submissions from 55 countries and areas. This year, we were concerned that the number of application from Japan might decrease due to the unprecedented natural disaster, the pacific coast of Tohoku earthquake we experienced in Japan. However, we are pleased to announce you that the application in Japan has actually hit the highest record in the IAPLC history with 526 works. And when looking at the number of participating countries, which is 55 countries and areas, it can be said that the IAPLC has truly become an international event. The passion of the planted aquarium hobbyists in the world have gathered at the ADA head office. Now, the submissions have been going through the strict judgment of juries. The result will be announced as the "IAPLC 2011 World Ranking" in August, so please look forward to the announcement.

The Nature Aquarium Party, in which the awarding ceremony of the IAPLC 2011 will take place, will be held on September 17th at Tokyo International Forum in Tokyo, Japan. We welcome your participation!

Dear Nature Aquarium fans and hobbyists

Since the Pacific coast of Tohoku Earthquake hit northeast part of Japan on 3/11, I have received many condolences. We have been operating normal operation, and the qualities of all of our products including soils remain assured, no effect of radiation. Rather, now it is the time we should stand up and give the healing power of Nature Aquarium to the people who have been hurt and depressed! Nature Aquarium is not only beautiful and enjoyable, but also brings numerous benefits such as healing, education, motivation, communication, etc. The gift of nature is concentrated in this glass-made world, and its potencies are receiving continuous interests from all around the world. The International Aquatic Plants Layout Contest will take place as usual, and Nature Aquarium party will also come up later this year. And we are working on numbers of plans to give people a chance to appreciate Nature Aquarium including a big urban-style aquarium gallery, which is expected to open in spring, 2012 in a multi-function complex in Tokyo beside Tokyo Sky Tree, the world's tallest free-standing radio tower. Please look forward to our latest activities!

[NEWS Released 25th Mar 2011] Quality Assurance of AQUA SOIL

Since the news of nuclear power plant accidents in Fukushima, Japan was reported on the various media, we have received some inquiries about the effect of nuclear radiation on our AQUA SOIL series substrate.

Japan national and local government is monitoring the radiation level every hour, and they do not see any abnormal value of radiation reported from the area of collection. In addition to that, we are not collecting these soils every day, and we now have been processing the soils collected before the earthquake. The raw materials of our AQUA SOIL series are collected from a layer of earth in the ground, and we do not see any concern of having soils contaminated with radiation. Therefore, there is no effect of radiation in all AQUA SOIL SERIES and it remains as ideal substrate for aquarium use.

Renewals of ADA Logo and Product packaging

ADA's Nature Aquarium Goods has been expanding its market globally and increasing popularity of the products. Recently, we facing problems such as copy products and fake products with poor quality copying on the packaging design of Nature Aquarium Goods. As a counter measure to such copy products, we introduce new ADA logo and packaging design. It may take some times for all products to use new design. So, both NEW and OLD packaging design will still exits in the market until all products are renewed with NEW design.

ADA best selling Substrate Soil, AQUA SOIL AMAZONIA has been improved!

ADA has so far marketed AQUA SOIL AMAZONIA, and AMAZONIA II, but now it is possible to deliver AQUA SOIL AMAZONIA II with properties of AQUA SOIL AMAZONIA, by revising the selection of raw materials, and production process. We integrated AMAZONIA II with AMAZONIA, and started offering it as "NEW" AMAZONIA in a renewed packaging. "NEW" AMAZONIA is the idealistic substrate material for the Nature Aquarium, and has advantages of both AMAZONIA and AMAZONIA II.

IAPLC 2010 Results

Thank you for joining the 10th International Aquatic Plants Layout Contest.

We have received total of 1819 applications from 55 countries and areas for this year's contest. After closing the application on May 31, 2010, all the applications went through impartial grading process by judges, and the contest result is now finalized. Based on the grading of the judges, we have ranked each entry.

All applicants' pictures will be compiled as a booklet "The International Aquatic Plants Layout Contest 2010". This booklet will be on sale for the planted aquarium hobbyist around the world.

Finally, we will organize the 11th International Aquatic Plants Layout Contest next year. We hope you'll join the next year's contest, again.
